4-3-3: Man United lineup against Barcelona without Herrera and Matic

As we had covered yesterday, both Nemanja Matic and Ander Herrera are big doubts ahead of the games against Barcelona and will more than likely miss this fixture with an injury.

This sort of leaves us short on options in the middle of the pitch. We could always put in the likes of Lingard or Mata in the middle of the pitch, but that kind of experimentation against Barcelona in the Champions League could be a very big gamble.

So, how could United lineup against the Catalonia club tonight?

Well, for starters, OGS is gonna stick with a 4-3-3 formation, with De Gea at the back and Lindelof, Smalling, Shaw and Young completing our back 4.

The front 3 should consist of Martial, Rashford and Lingard although, a lot of fans will want Lukaku to start this fixture. Remember, we won’t be dominating the ball, our best chance will be at the counter-attack and having 3 pacy man upfront could help us cause them some problems.

The 3 men in the middle should consist of Pogba, McTominay and Fred however, we could be in on a surprise here. We expect Pogba and McTominay to start this game but we are still not sure if OGS will stick with Fred or will he surprise us with something unexpected.

How would you want United to lineup for this fixture tonight?
