Liverpool left-back Adam Lewis is aiming for an opportunity in the first-team squad for the upcoming season.
The 23-year-old left-back had just made five appearances in the last season.
Lewis wants to make the most of the opportunities, by making his way through the first team, given that Liverpool needs a backup to Andy Robertson, following Moreno’s departure at the end of the last season.
Meanwhile, Jurgen Klopp thinks that James Milner and Joe Gomez can also operate as alternatives in the full-back position.
Lewis has already made his name as a left-back with the U-18 side and is searching for an opportunity to impress manager Klopp before the season gets underway.
“Of course, pre-season is an opportunity where you can show what you have got.
“The manager has seen me play, I’ve been here last season a few times, but the most important thing for me is to stay down here (at Melwood) and get on the bench in the upcoming season.
“Training with them (the first-team squad) just gives you a taste; it makes you want it more.
Adam Lewis was a part of the England U-20 squad for the fixtures against Poland and Portugal that were played in March this year.
