The Ajax team is once again set to be torn apart by Vultures of the Transfer Market. The club have already agreed a move to Barcelona for Frenkie de Jong in January and the next players on the list of players being sold will be de Ligt and Donny Van de Beek.
22 year old Donny Van de Beek is tipped to make the switch to Tottenham since the window opened for English clubs on May 16. Now, his agent has come out and tried to filter some of the irrational speculation with logic. He has tried to explain the thinking behind any move involving Van de Beek.
Ajax’s Donny Van de Beek will cost close to £45 million
Tottenham will have to pay up £45 million if they wish to replace Christian Eriksen with the up and coming Dutch attacking midfielder. In 57 games across all competitions, Donny Van de Beek has contributed with 17 goals and 13 assists.
“Donny fits a club where attacking football is played,”
“I don’t see Donny leaving Ajax for just any club abroad. He is not the type who chooses based on money.”

Van de Beek shined bright as Ajax outshined many big clubs on their way to the Champions League final. Donny has also been capped five times by the Netherlands national team. His agent claims that the midfielder will only move to a club where attacking football is the norm and expectation. Being a creative player, that trait is understandable.
Ajax’s Donny has a contract until 2022 with the Dutch champions and therefore, any club in his pursuit doesn’t have the chance of tapping him up to sign him on the cheap. Ajax’s Donny will only leave Amsterdam on the terms of his club.
