Liverpool played a nervous first half of football at Anfield against Chelsea but held on for 0-0 at half time. After which the team kicked into next gear and wiped Chelsea off.
This win keeps Liverpool in touch with Manchester City, as the Reds sit at the top of the table two points above City.
Liverpool achieved this with goals from Mane and Salah. While the first was a header from Mane, the second was a long shot from Salah, a crisp curler for the ages.
It is this goal that has made many people raise a toast Salah, especially on social media. One of these people is legendary striker Alan Shearer:
“Strrriiikkkeeeeee @MoSalah #LIVCHE.”

Liverpool observed a moment of silence for the 30th anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster. A beautiful wall stood iin silence to remember those lost on that day.
On to Estadio Dragao and Porto then!
