Manchester United star Paul Pogba exemplifies “everything that is wrong” with the club right now according to Match of the Day Pundit Alan Shearer.

Although the result of the game did not carry much relevance after their Champions League hopes were over following a draw with Premier League’s bottom club Huddersfield last week, but the team could not put up an appreciable farewell performance for the fans.
United’s fortunes have taken a significant dip since Solskjaer was handed the manager’s job on a permanent basis.
The defeat to Cardiff was his 8th in eleven games across all competitions.

One player whose fortunes have epitomised United’s fate as of late is Paul Pogba and the nosedive his form has taken in recent months has left the club in peril according to Alan Shearer.
He highlighted one particular incident in the game where the Frenchman was at fault for letting Nathaniel Mendez-Laing pass easily for scoring Cardiff’s second goal.
“It’s been embarrassing for them drawing last weekend at Huddersfield and then getting turned over by Cardiff, but it was the manner in which they lost today,” Shearer said on Match of the Day.
“This is what is wrong at Old Trafford and epitomises everything that is wrong with this football club and this team at the moment.
“Players like Pogba not staying with their runners and the opposition are finding its way to easy to play against them, and that should not be happening at that football club.
“That mentality is going to be very difficult to change.”

Fellow MOTD Pundit Ian Wright went on to highlight Pogba’s frustration as he involved a scuffle with Cardiff winger Josh Murphy and later seen arguing with Man United fans.
“You could see Pogba’s frustration but I think that he needs to try and channel that in a different manner,” said the ex-Arsenal Man.
“When you look at the incident with Murphy, I am very surprised that he hasn’t been reprimanded for that.”
