At the Kirkby club academy, Liverpool U-23 played a friendly match against lower league side Bury. It was not just any friendly, but a behind closed doors affair.

As such, it should not make the news, except that it did just that. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain while hasn’t made an appeaerance for Liverpool this season, just played a game against Bury.

He is now expected to make a come back by next week to the first team. In the same match, Brewster too made a start and impressed.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will be very happy to have more options on the right. As a midfielder, he will have to contend with the likes of James Milner, Jordan Henderson, Wijnaldum, Fabinho and now Naby Keita as well.

Unless Klopp decides to try him somewhere else. The real question though, is whether he will make an appearance in the next game or in the business end of the competition.
