Man United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has provided updates on Alexis Sanchez’s injury and David De Gea’s contract situation at the club.
Speaking in his first pre-season press conference of the season, Solskjaer revealed that Sanchez’s injury isn’t as severe as it was earlier thought.
The Chilean was in an action for his national team on Saturday.
Sanchez limped out of the game against Argentina in the Copa America third-place play-off which Chile lost 2-1.
“(Alexis Sanchez) pulled up chasing a long ball in the third-place play-off against Argentina, hobbling off after 17 minutes.
The 30-year-old, who has endured a difficult time at Old Trafford since joining from Arsenal in January 2018, is not expected to feature on the club’s pre-season tour.” read a report in BBC.
On Wednesday, Solskjaer completely refuted that report.
