Alexis Sanchez has blamed the team’s poor finishing as the reason behind Manchester United’s defeat to Barcelona last night.
The Chilean has been out since the start of March with a knee problem but he came on for the last 15 minutes at he Camp Nou in the 3-0 defeat.
“They played very well. We had very clear chances, but this is football, this is the Champions League, if you get something wrong or fail then the other team gets on top of you. That’s what Barcelona do,” Sanchez said.
Sanchez was also applauded by the Barcelona faithful when he made his entrance having scored 47 goals in 141 games for the Catalan side.
“It was a nice moment for me. With the other players, we won good things here and I am very happy to return from my injury and I am also very happy with the applause from the crowd.”
Hopefully, Sanchez can find his form for the last few games of the Premier League as we fight for the Champions League spot.
