Liverpool’s Alisson Becker is in the final of the Champions League. To get here, the Reds didn’t have an easy road. Liverpool beat the likes of Barcelona over two legs to reach this season’s Champions League final.
After a 3-0 loss at the Nou Camp in the first leg, many people billed the tie as unwinnable for Liverpool. The boys responded so well that they scored 4 at home without conceding to Messi & Co. and won the knock-out.
Even before that there were tough matches against the likes of Napoli that Liverpool won, and in them shone the individual brilliance of our Brazilian goalkeeper. This has led to only the second all England final after the match between Man United and Chelsea in the 2008 final at Moscow.
Liverpool’s Alisson was recently christened as a goodwill ambassador for the World Health Organization.
We are honoured to be appointed @WHO Goodwill Ambassadors for health promotion. We are determined with work with WHO to promote #HealthforAll & to motivate the football community #WHA72 @DrTedros pic.twitter.com/0Znz9AP7TU

The Brazilian was asked about his life in Liverpool and he didn’t take long to claim something the fans would love to hear:
“I played here against Liverpool and I experienced the power that the fans gave to the team on the pitch. They put a lot of pressure on you, it’s not easy playing here against our team.”

Alisson is talking about the Champions League and Anfield. He has also realized the storied connection Anfield has with Champions League nights. Now, he has the responsibility of winning it in Madrid with the rest of the team, only then will this season turn into something worth the effort.
