Liverpool have one of the best squads in club football at the moment. So good, in fact that the Reds have lost one game in the league all season.
When they were on the verge of losing at Stamford Bridge, a forgotten man took his chance and shot the ball spectacularly in the net: Daniel Sturridge.
We don’t see all the players getting involved all the time, as there are only so many positions. There are players who are the first-choice and then the ones who are designated back-ups. Some don’t have the clarity about which one they are and Liverpool currently have a number of them.
The most notable name in this list is that of Daniel Sturridge, once a star at Annfield as he and Luis Suarez outscored everyone in their way under Brendan Rodgers. The former City and Chelsea striker’s contract runs out in the summer and there seems no likelihood of him making it another season under Klopp.
Then there’s Alberto Moreno. The Spanish left-back was brought amidst much fanfare but has since dissipated in the background. Moreno has clocked 156 minutes of league football this season with 2 appearances.
The former Sevilla man is apparently wanted at Barcelona to deputize for Jordi Alba. Just like his friend Sturridge, Moreno’s contract expires in the summer. He surely has the option of getting a big paycheck at Nou Camp but how often he would play is apparently clear.

In addition to these, there are some young and old players all in line for the exit door at Anfield:
Bobby Adekanye- Winger
Rafael Camacho- Midfielder
Adam Bogdan- Goalkeeper
Connor Randall- Right Back
Corey Whelan- Right Back
