Jordan Pickford has been in the centre of an unwanted controversy since Sunday evening, thanks to a street brawl which ensued after he was coming back from Sunderland after watching the Checkatrade Trophy final between his former club and Portsmouth.
While Toffees have reportedly started their investigation into the matter, it’s his former Everton boss Sam Allardyce who has come to his support when things aren’t going quite right for him. When asked for reaction, former England manager advised Pickford to channelise his aggression to make better decisions.
“Jordan’s character is why he is such a good goalkeeper.”
“He won’t be the same player if you don’t allow him to be that character.”
“He just needs to choose better places to go out & make better decisions.”

It is being claimed by various sources that Pickford reacted the way he did because his fiancee was verbally abused.
