Atletico Madrid Star Antoine Griezmann has given transfer hope to Manchester United by admitting that he could leave Spain this summer.
The 28-year-old looks set to leave the Wanda Metropolitano after 5 years association at the Spanish Capital.
The Frenchman admitted in a video on the Atletico Madrid website that he will be moving on from the Club in this summer transfer window.
Griezmann was set to join Barcelona last season but that move controversially fell through.
However, with Luis Suarez no longer the force he used to be, the Catalan giants wants the Frenchman to replace the Uruguayan Striker in the summer.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are also looking to replace Belgian Striker Romelu Lukaku, and have identified Griezmann as one of the players who could fill that void.
Speaking after France’s 4-0 win over Andorra Griezmann has admitted that he could leave La Liga after 10 years in Spain:
“There’s a need for patience, as it’s still soon,” Griezmann said.
“I want my future to be decided more than anyone, but there’s a need to wait.
“I don’t know if I’ll remain in Spain. Maybe in two weeks we’ll know something.
“I just want to play football and have fun.”
“I don’t know if I’ll remain in Spain.” That’s the line that has caught the attention of many fans and journalists all over Europe.
Barcelona are interested in breaking the bank for the 28-year-old, but Manchester United are ready to offer him more money and make him the highest paid player at the Club (after moving on Alexis Sanchez in the summer).
