Toby Alderweireld’s last-minute goal pushed Liverpool atop of the table, making the Arsenal fans delighted while leaving the Manchester City fans in exasperation.
A win for Gunners against the Newcastle tomorrow will give them three crucial points, placing them in the third in the table.
Taking to Twitter, the Gunner fans mocked the Hotspur fans and couldn’t stop themselves from expressing their jubilation.
One wrote: “The best part of the result of today’s match between Liverpool and Spurs is that Arsenal gets to go 3rd place (and more importantly above Spurs) if they win against Newcastle, I just love this!”
Arsenal to punish them next and steal third, we have to fancy ourselves for it now,” added another.
A third wrote: “Arsenal win tomorrow and go 3rd. Six weeks ago or so Spurs were meant to be in a title race.
“Yass Spurs lose!! Arsenal easily goes 3rd tomorrow nite,” shared another Arsenal fan.
And another quizzed: “Arsenal win tomorrow, and they’ll be two points clear of Spurs! How the f*** has this happened?!”
One looked even further ahead, predicting: “Spurs could move to sixth if Arsenal wins tomorrow and Chelsea and Man Utd win their midweek games.”
