Arsenal has been linked with a move for Belgium winger Yannick Carrasco who is currently playing for the Chinese club Dalian Yafang’s.
Reports suggest that Gunners are in talks with the Chinese club for the player who could be their first significant signing of the transfer window as Emery is ready to spend a massive chunk of his £45m budget on the winger.
Carrasco is a Belgium international, who is currently valued at £27million, has reportedly already agreed on personal terms with the North London outfit.
He is an excellent dribbler with an ability to attack in wide areas, but he’s got more of a tendency to cut the ball inside.
Carrasco has been on Emery’s radar since January and had almost joined on the loan before Emery turned his head towards Barcelona’s Denis Suarez.
And last week only Carrasco confirmed that he would be leaving China, saying: ‘From a family point of view, I would rather play in Europe and stay closer to my family. ‘The adjustment for my family was also difficult over there [China].’
Carrasco has previously played for Atletico Madrid and Monaco before making a move to China and scored in the 2016 Champions League finals against Real Madrid.
