Arsenal has shown interest in Romanian goalkeeper Ionut Radu.
The 22-year-old is currently playing with Serie A side Inter Milan, but in the last one year, Radu has significantly enhanced his reputation during an impressive season in Italy’s top flight.
Speaking to FCInterNews, Radu’s agent Crescenzo Cecero has revealed that many big European clubs have made inquiries for the shot-stopper with Arsenal being one of them.
“There are so many teams involved, including Lyon. Recently, there was also an Arsenal inquiry. Radu is a very interesting prospect since he is growing a lot,” Cicero said.
The Gunners need another quality goalkeeper for the next season as Petr Cech last week played his final game in professional football in a heartbreaking 4-1 defeat to London rivals Chelsea in the Europa League final in Baku.
Radu will be expected to be a back-up to German international Bernd Leno at the North London with the former Bayer Leverkusen ‘stopper having enjoyed a promising debut campaign at the Emirates.
In other Arsenal transfer news, Gunners have reportedly expressed their interest in Leganes striker Youssef En-Nesyri.
The Morocco international has been impressive in La Liga scoring 11 goals in across all the competitions this season and looks a much terrific prospect just at the age of 21.
Arsenal has offered the 22-year-old a contract and want to bring the forward to the Emirates.
Reports also suggest that the striker is in the radar of Bundesliga clubs like Borussia Dortmund and Schalke, but it’s very much important for Arsenal to win this transfer battle who are already lacking quality players in their squad.
En-Nesyri would reportedly cost only €10million to the Gunners and its the kind of market where Unai Emery needs to compete.
