Manchester United lost to Manchester City three goals to nil on Tuesday night during the first leg of the EFL Cup semi-final clash at Old Trafford.
Reports linking Ashley Young to Inter Milan surfaced hours ahead of the kick-off and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer brushed aside all these claims just after the game.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was asked about these claims after his side’s latest tie and he said:
Tonight is not the time to talk about players leaving. We can’t weaken ourselves; we have to strengthen ourselves.”
Ashley Young contract’s contract with Manchester United expires less than six months and he hasn’t been getting as many first-team starts as he would have liked at the Old Trafford anymore.
Despite manager assuring Young won’t leave and United want to keep him, Sky Italia maintain that the move to Italy for Man Utd captain is on the cards.
Understand Inter are not the only club in talks with Ashley Young over a deal. Other European clubs also. Whatever some United fans may think, he has a good reputation in the game. @TheAthleticUK #mufc

If reports are to be believed, Antonio Conte offered him an 18-month contract and Young has already ‘accepted’ the personal terms made by the Italian giants. All that remains is for Manchester United to accept the proposal from the San Siro side as well.
Sky’s report doesn’t mention the details of wages that Inter are willing to offer Young and also the fee they are ready to pay Manchester United.
If Young completes the move, the versatile defender will reunite with Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sánchez at the Italian club.
