Barcelona congratulate Liverpool on social media message after losing

Liverpool went into the second leg at Anfield trailing Barcelona by three goals. If Klopp’s men had to advance to the second final in two seasons, they had to score four against arguably one of the best sides in Europe. At least one of the two best players was out against Liverpool.

The fans in attendance couldn’t have hoped for a better night of Champions League football. Reminiscent of the win in Istanbul, Liverpool came from three goals down and turned the fixture on it’s head. Divock Origi opened the scoring early in the first half only for Georginio Wijnaldum to hit a brace within two second half minutes.

The winner came in the final ten minutes as Barcelona hoped to get an away goal and put the tie to rest. But Liverpool’s defence held firm and especially Alisson should get the credit for keeping the shop shut in front of goal.

After the match, Liverpool’s twitter handle posted a message that said we’re going to the final. A lot of people had already Banter-ised Barcelona’s half time tweet that said We’ll score at least one and then Liverpool will need five.

Regardless, Barcelona eventually let it sink in and realized one has to be gracious in defeat. There twitter handle ignored all the jokes on Barca and came around to congratulating Liverpool.

Now, on to the final against Ajax/Spurs. Liverpool winning 4-0 against Barcelona without Salah and Firmino is indeed a miracle. The miracle of Anfield.
