According to the Manchester Evening News, Barcelona are still keen on signing Manchester United youngster Angel Gomes. Angel Gomes has been praised by many as one of the best Manchester United academy products from the current generation.
It is believed that the attacking midfielder is having some issues with his contract at Manchester United and thus his future at the Old Trafford outfit looks quite a bit uncertain.
Various top European clubs have reportedly shown interest in the player, however, Barcelona seem to be leading the pack for now.
It’s no brainer to see why Angel Gomes seems to be a perfect fit for Barcelona. Barcelona still heavily rely on their Tika-Taka style of play and Gomes has the frame, the build and the delicate style which is ideal for the club.
In addition to that Gomes has the speed and creativity that is going to perfectly complement Barcelona’s attacking style of play.
If Manchester United aren’t give the youngster a new deal, Barcelona will be hitting a jackpot as they will be getting him pretty much for free once his contract expires at the end of this summer.
Gomes is just 19 years old and he will have plenty of time to develop and perhaps even blossom in the club’s B team in the beginning as well as familiarise himself with the Catalans and slowly work his way up to the first team.
For such a talented prospect this should be a no brainer for Barcelona. In another news, Mino Raiola has just hit a new low by accusing Man United for Pogba’s failures.
