Barcelona is reported to have made an approach for the Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk in this summer transfer window.
The 28-year-old joined the Anfield club in January 2018, and so far, has conceded only 28 goals in 38 games.
Barcelona is interested in signing Van Dijk, given the fact, their star player like Gerard Pique has crossed the age of 30, and the Catalan giants are looking to add some fresh legs in their squad.
Meanwhile, Klopp is not interested in selling Van Dijk, under any circumstances, following his significant role in Liverpool’s rapid rise in the European club football over the last two years.
The Dutchman, since his arrival at the Merseyside club, has made a significant impact on the team’s performance on the field, after becoming the most expensive defender in the game.
Van Dijk recently said, ‘I think the future looks pretty bright,’.
‘We have a fantastic team with players that want to develop, that want to give everything for the team and for the club.
Van Dijk’s current contract runs with Liverpool until 2022, but he wants to continue his stay at the club.
Van Dijk has also won the PFA Player of the Year award as Liverpool secured second spot in the Premier League with 97 points.
In other Liverpool news, Simon Mignolet is reportedly keen to leave the Anfield this summer
