Darren Bent, formerly of Sunderland and Aston Villa has spoken about Christian Eriksen’s expected move out of White Hart Lane. The former striker has said that Eriksen’s contribution to the team will help fans see him off in a positive light.
Spurs fans are not known to be very nice with the players who leave the club. However, if the club makes a good amount on a player’s sale, they seem unconcerned. Eriksen only has one year left and will not fetch the kind of money they have made on the sale of stars previously.
“No Spurs fan will look at Eriksen and give him any stick because he’s been loyal to them and given them great service,”
“He’d be a big loss but he’d fit the mould for Real Madrid really well.

Normally when a player leaves by forcing the club to sell, as in run down the contract- they get abused by the fans. However, Darren Bent, who was last signed to a contract with Derby County and is without a club since 2018 has said Spurs fans won’t give any stick to Eriksen when he leaves the North Londoners.
Bent, who was himself a Tottenham player until a decade ago thinks Christian Eriksen has been devoted to the club and the fans would recognize his right to play in a new club after giving his all for six seasons in Tottenham colours. His departure would be highlighted by the Champions League final- an unprecedented event in Tottenham’s history.
