Former Manchester United Striker Dimitar Berbatov has claimed that the Red Devils don’t need another attacking signing this season because we’ve got Anthony Martial.
Anthony Martial had an up and down last season at the Old Trafford where he managed to score 11 goals but was still criticized a lot of times for his lackluster display on the pitch.
It’s clear that the Frenchman is a talented player, but sometimes lacks the zeal and consistency to perform week in week out at the top level.
While, the 23-year-old was set to leave the Old Trafford in the early part of the last season under Jose Mourinho, the arrival of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer changed his mind as the Frenchman ended up signing a new contract with us.
Solskjaer is already said to be a big fan of the attacker and now, Dimitar Berbatov has given his approval to Martial’s talent too:
“I’m not the coach. So it’s not my job to say that. But I think the strikers are good enough. I like them, especially Anthony Martial, because I used to play with him in Monaco. I know how good he is.
“And I think he can be even better with the right training sessions, with the right attitude, and with the right guidance from the manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
“Because he was a striker, one of the best in the world, so you can go easily to the manager and ask for advice like how to score, how to move, how to round.
“So to be honest, I don’t think they need someone new in the front line.”

While there’s no denying that, on his day, the 23-year-old could be one of the best wingers in the Premier League with his incredible pace, dribbling and killer instincts in front of the goal.
Hopefully, Ole Gunnar Solskajer could sit him down and talk him through this rut as we aim to finish in the top 4 next season.
