Manchester United Football Club is currently owned by Glazers and most of our fans hate the fact that they mortgaged the club against itself to buy the club.
Ever since the Glazers came in control of the club, we have been on a downward spiral. Yes, Sir Alex Ferguson did his best to cover the cracks with his genius, but once our legend retired from the management, look what has happened to us!
Neither of David Moyes, Louis Van Gaal or Jose Mourinho could build us up and take us back to where we are supposed to be, considering the size of our club.
The likes of Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool have invested big money and, well, City and Chelsea have won trophies in recent times while we have struggled to finish in the top 4.
Recently, a very rich Saudi Arab ruling family was reportedly interested in buying the club but that turned out to be just rumours.
However, Lequipe, a leading French media publication is reporting that Jim Ratcliffe, the UK’s richest person could be interested in buying our club.
Jim Ratcliffe moved from the UK to Monaco in February of this year and has been linked with buying French Club OGC Nice and even the London Club Chelsea in the past, but the latest reports say that Jim is a big fan of Manchester United siting the fact that Ratcliffe was born in Greater Manchester and lived near Oldham as a kid.
We still don’t know if L’Equipe’s sources are credible or not but Jim Ratcliffe won’t be a bad choice as compared to the Glazers, would he?
