Brandon Williams might have just started his senior career with Manchester United but has impressed beyond expectations in a short matter of time nevertheless.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer kept the youngster in the side against Sheffield United despite Ashley Young being available for selection and few would argue that it wasn’t a great choice.
Williams netted a brilliant effort to bring Manchester United back in the game from an extremely perilous situation.
It was his first senior goal with United 2-0 down at the time and it wasn’t long before they we’re 3-2 up thanks to the spark from his effort.
Brandon Williams’ game by numbers vs. Sheffield United:
100% aerial duels won
82% pass accuracy
7 ball recoveries
3 crosses blocked
2 chances created
2/3 tackles won
Quality finish. 👏👏👏 pic.twitter.com/Khe4Z7X2fT

His recoveries and aerial duels were impressive but it’s his effect on the other end of the field that has endeared him to fans already.
Williams has shown he’s equally capable in either box and so it’s not a surprise to see him ahead of Young in the pecking order already.
It’s likely that even when Luke Shaw returns from injury, Solskjaer will continue to show his faith in the 19 year old.
