Tottenham star Christian Eriksen dropped an expected bombshell when he said in a recent interview that he wants to change clubs. Now, his agent has followed suit behind his master and cleared the air on their summer plans as well as things that transpired last summer.
According to his agent Martin Schoots, Christian Eriksen wants out of Tottenham after the club reached and lost their first European final ever. Mauricio Pochettino maybe interested in a rebuilding job, but with a different approach to what has been the norm at Spurs. He will most likely do this job without his best attacking midfielder.
Christian Eriksen transfer: 3 offers have prepared the ground for a move away
Christian Eriksen arrived at Spurs from Ajax for a measly £11 million. So Spurs will certainly make a profit on the £70k a week attacking midfielder. However, with just an year left on his current deal, it will likely be less than what Daniel Levy could negotiate out of a world class 27 year old attacker.
Martin Schoots, who represents Eriksen came out with a statement soon after Eriksen confirmed his desire to seek new pastures. He shed some light on the events of last summer, when there were several offers for his client but Tottenham couldn’t let him leave. Now, the circumstances have changed following the opening of the new stadium and the club reaching new heights on the pitch with Pochettino.
“For the club it was then a no-go area and for Christian not a must-have. I have the impression we are in a new situation now.”

Pochettino’s own future maybe in doubt but if he stays he knows he doesn’t have to count on Christian Eriksen. The club is already actively looking for replacements with everyone from Giovani Lo Celso to Ryan Sessegnon linked with the club in the last few days.
