Chelsea midfielder Danny Drinkwater has been with drink driving after incurring a crash in Cheshire according to local police.
This one vehicle collision is said to have occurred shortly after midnight on Sunday night.
Addressing the incident, Cheshire police have released a statement :
“A 29-year-old from Nether Alderley has been charged with drink-driving following an incident in Cheshire.”
Police added: “He has been released on unconditional bail and is set to appear at Stockport Magistrates’ Court on Monday 13 May.”
The 29-year-old is yet to make his debut under Maurizio Sarri and hasn’t kicked a ball in a competitive fixture for 13 months.
