Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has been charged by the FA for allegedly placing 140 bets over a 4-year period that ended in January this year.
Paul Scholes has been alleged to place Football bets while he was the co-owner of Salford City in the Nations League.
It’s still not clear whether he placed bets on Salford City, however, Paul placed no bets when he was the manager of Oldham Athletic.
“The rule of thumb is that if you work in football you cannot bet on football.
“It doesn’t matter if it is a bet on a different club or a different country. If you are a participant in football, all bets are off.”
Paul Scholes has until 26 April to respond to the charges and he could serve a hefty fine if found guilty.
