The current Leicester boss said he isn’t shocked to see the 24-year-old who played a key role in the recent weeks for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

“Divock is a big talent,” he said. “He is one that when we signed him, part of the deal was that he had to stay at Lille.

“He had broken through to the Belgian team as a youngster, showed his talents and we spotted him.

“He is a great talent. He hasn’t been allowed to show it as much as he would like because of the talent that is there, but he has shown his talent in the week and against Newcastle on the weekend as well.

The ex-Lille attacker Origi has eventually managed to force his way into the side, having made 20 appearances for the team this season and scoring six times.

Origi has certainly emerged on the big stage with his wonder goal against Barcelona which helped Liverpool to secure a spot in Champions League finals of this season.
