After Manchester United’s 2-0 win over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, Bruno Fernandes jokingly demanded on social media that his team-mate Anthony Martial should improve on his finishing.

Martial opened the scoring for the Red Devils in the first-half, with a well-placed header.

He latched onto Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s superb cross, to head the ball into the far corner, and beyond goalkeeper Willy Caballero.

The goal was only the third headed goal that Martial has scored in the Premier League, in his 133rd appearance.

Fernandes was quick to joke with Martial on social media about his lack of headed finishes, following the full-time whistle in west London.

Fernandes posted an image to his Instagram story of himself hugging Martial.

He captioned the photo with:

Finally a header. Just close your eyes every time @martial_9.”

Martial responded to Fernandes’ taunt by claiming that the Portugal international wouldn’t have crossed the ball as well as Wan-Bissaka.

I score because it was not your pass @brunofernandes.10,” said Martial, along with a laughing face emoji.

But, the feud wasn’t over just yet, with Fernandes coming back with another brutal message for his team-mate.

Next time I pass to you, try to not to miss it,” said the January signing.

The caption was followed by an angry, expletive-shouting emoji. Martial had the opportunity to open the scoring earlier in the first half, after a pass from Fernandes.
