Liverpool legend Dominic Matteo thinks that Manchester United should replace Ander Herrera with Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante.
Ander Herrera’s contract expires in the summer and the Spaniard is set to join Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer.
Matteo, meanwhile, thinks that Man United should break the bank and try to sign Kante from Chelsea as a replacement of Herrera:
“[N’Golo] Kante’s been playing in that position for Chelsea.”
“But it doesn’t look like he’s going to get a game there in front of Jorginho,” Matteo said.
“For United, he would definitely be top of the list.”
Dominic Matteo also went on to reveal a particular quality of Kante which could benefit Manchester United on the pitch:
“He’s probably the best holding midfielder in world football.
“If United play Herrera and [Nemanja] Matic together, there’s not enough creativity.
“One player should sit and control things as the rest of them get forward.
“The top sides need to get players in the box.”
Well, it’s easy to say that Man United should replace Herrera with Kante, but it’s another thing to sign him from Chelsea, who wouldn’t want to sell their best player to their direvt rivals.
If we can pull off a signing like Kante, it would be miraculous to say the least!
