Chelsea have become the first ever English side to win eleven games in one campaign of a European competition making it 11 out of 12 last night.
A brace from Pedro on either side of Simon Deli’s own goal and Olivier Giroud’s strike saw the Blues cruise to a 4-1 lead in the 27th minute but the night was far from over.
The Visitors put up a good show in the second half, rallied by their ruckus away support, two absolute stunning strikes from Petr Sevcik set up an uneasy last half an hour at the Bridge.
However, Maurizio Sarri’s side displayed efficient game management and won the tie 5-3 on aggregate to make it into the competition’s semifinals.
The Blues are also only the second English team to score 100 goals across all competitions this season after Man City.
