Chelsea Chairman Bruce Buck has reaffirmed that owner Roman Abramovich is still fully committed to the Blues despite his prolonged absence from the Stamford Bridge due to off-field issues.

There were reports earlier this year that Chelsea was up for sale after Roman Abramovich was rejected an investors visa by the UK government but Buck insists that the ex-Russian Oligarch is going nowhere

“Everything he’s doing reaffirms his commitment to Chelsea,” Buck told Sky Sports News.

“We hear from him several times a day and he’s talking to us about players, commercial activities and our good causes.”

“So I would say he’s committed to Chelsea.”

The 52-year-old has not been seen at the Bridge since the May 2018.
