Chelsea have followed suit with the likes of Liverpool, Paris Saint Germain and Barcelona to pursue Ajax’s midfield maestro Hakim Ziyech according to Suddeutsche Zeitung.
The Moroccan international is in the middle of an amazing season with Ajax scoring 19 goals and setting up another 12 in 42 appearances across all competitions for the Eredivisie leaders.
He was instrumental in Ajax’s recent success over Juventus in Turin which saw them make it to their first Champions League semifinals for the first time in over two decades.
According to the same report, His parent club Ajax value him at around €35m which in the current market scenario is considered peanut change.
So if Chelsea’s transfer ban is overturned by CAS, €35m acquisition of Ziyech will be a coup.
