Chelsea is reportedly to be in talks with Willian over a new contract whose contract is set to expire in the next 12 months, according to Standard
The 31-year-old winger has just one year left on his current contract, but Willian wants a two-year extension, similar to which was offered to his teammate David Luiz.
However, Chelsea is willing to retain Willian at the Stamford Bridge as they are worried about losing a player in the next 12 months.
In the wake of the two window transfer ban which the Blues are already facing, Chelsea is under tremendous pressure to offer new terms of the contract. They are also trying to cope up with the void left by Eden Hazard after he made a move to Real Madrid earlier this month.
Willian has made 300 appearances for Chelsea after joining from the Russian football club Anzhi Makhachkala in 2013.
The Brazilian international has helped Chelsea in winning two Premier League title, FA Cup and EFL up during his stay at Stamford Bridge.
