Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud could leave the club alongside talisman Eden Hazard as his contract is set to expire at the end of the season.
The Daily Mirror report that the West London club are yet to trigger the one-year extension on the Frenchman’s present contract and soon he will be able to negotiate with foreign clubs soon.
Speaking to the Guardian about his Stamford Bridge future, Giroud said:
“I have no clue about that now. I have to meet Marina.
“I’m happy to be here – I may be 32 and have won the World Cup but I don’t want to retire – but I’m not satisfied with second choice.
“I’m not happy to play the second role.”
The same newspaper also reports that the 32-year-old has warned the club that he could leave despite a new deal being on the table given his diminutive role in the Maurizio Sarri regime.
