Manchester United are set to complete their first signing after Swansea City Star Daniel James arrived for the Medical at the Carrington.
However, both Swansea City and Manchester United were still unable to come to terms on a transfer fee with The Swans demanding around £30m for the services of James while Ed Woodward was holding on to £15m.
But, it seems like, a fee in the region of £20m has been negotiated between the 2 clubs as Daniel James made his way to the Carrington on Thursday morning for a medical.
According to the Dailymail, Daniel James was spotted arriving early at 7.30am at Carrington for a medical on Thursday morning.
Meanwhile, former Swansea City and Stoke player Joe Allen admitted that it was Daniel James’ performance in the 3-1 victory over Stoke at the Liberty Stadium in April that convinced Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to sign him:
‘There, that was the day that probably sealed the potential Man United move,’ said Allen. ‘He was electric.
‘He scored and got two men sent off and caused carnage all game.
‘It was one of the best individual performances I have ever seen as a fellow player.
‘When we went down to nine men Ash (Williams) got the short straw to go out to right back to deal with him.
‘I think Dan took it easy on him to be fair. Ash was giving him about a 30-yard cushion.’
The pacy winger scored 4 goals and provided 7 assists in the Championship last season and he would look to better that record at the Old Trafford in a red shirt next season.
