Tottenham Hotspur hosted their very first Champions League game last night and it was quite a spectacle made ever so sweeter by Son Heung Min’s goal which saw the North London side take a lead against Manchester City in the two-legged quarter-finals tie.
Ex-Spurs striker Gary Lineker was in attendance covering the game for BT Sport and was provided with a full tour by his former club about which he wrote:
Had the full guided tour of the new @SpursOfficial stadium and I can safely it’s the best football ground I’ve ever been to.

One rival fan wasn’t impressed by Lineker’s branding as he took the opportunity to mock Tottenham’s lack of silverware in recent years:
How’s the trophy cabinet? https://t.co/x6V9rMeWpB

But Lineker was having none of it:
Always think it’s best to at least attempt to hide your bitterness. It’s so cringeworthy. https://t.co/M9UMZWeDLL

As you asked again: @SpursOfficial have won 2 league titles, eight FA Cups, four League Cups, seven FA Community Shields, one European Cup Winners' Cup and two UEFA Cups. So it’s pretty full. Glad to be of service 👍🏻 https://t.co/v8wYjpotyy
