Manchester United have so far completed the signing of two players this summer. The first signing of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer summer spending was Daniel James, signed from Swansea City for £15 million. The other name bought by Manchester United this summer is Aaron Wan-Bissaka who signed for £50 million from Crystal Palace. Now, we know Daniel James’ shirt number for next season.
Daniel James’ shirt number has been announced
The 21 year old player signed for United as the first signing of the summer. The Wales international will play for United next year and will hope to secure a first team position under Solskjaer‘s leadership. The winger brings something different to a squad that is too dependent on Lukaku for goals. It is expected that James will lay off nice crosses for others to finish.
The news break comes courtesy United’s official store on the Manchester United website. If you select to buy Daniel James’ shirt, you’ll be shown the number 21. The Welsh winger will wear the number 21 for Manchester United. James has been deployed in certain positions but is most effective playing on the left wing. If needed, he can also deputize on the right and even as a secondary striker.
James helps others around him score goals
The new Manchester United winger played for Swansea and was able to appear in 38 games last season. He scored five goals and assisted 10 in the process. At United, he will be expected to deliver better numbers playing alongside a superior squad compared to Swansea.
The number 21 was left vacant after Ander Herrera’s departure. The Spaniard is currently without a club but will most likely sign for Paris Saint-Germain. Daniel James’ shirt number will soon make fans forget about the departed Herrera.
