Manchester United are set to sign Swansea City player Daniel James with the deal only a ‘matter of when and not if’ according to the reports.
The Daniel James to Manchester United story has been going on for some time now with the Welsh winger agreeing the personal terms with the Manchester Club before the unfortunate and untimely death of his Father.
Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth is a reliable journalist and here’s the update he has on the current situation regarding the 21-year-old’s future:
“This one we’ve been talking about for a few weeks now, this one looks like it’s moving closer.
“Swansea City to Manchester United, there’s a feeling now it’s a question of when and not if.
“Personal terms not expected to be a problem, remember he almost joined Leeds in the January transfer window. Didn’t happen [for] £8.5m.
“But Manchester United suddenly enter the fray and it looks like the fee is thought to be more around double that, so around £15m.”
It was believed that the deal for Daniel James to Manchester United would be completed in the last week.
However, the unfortunate demise of his father and the fact that James is going to be involved with the Wales squad shortly, this transfer has dragged on longer than expected.
Manchester United are still set to pay the £15m for the Winger’s services with the deal only a question on when and not if.
All things considered, Daniel James should be donning the red jersey by the start of the next Premier League season.
