Tottenham’s club president Daniel Levy is recently in the limelight. A few days ago he was with the boys and gave a speech to the entire squad. The Tottenham players were for the first time experiencing an emotional Daniel Levy. Most of the world only understands him as an apathetic president and tough negotiator.
Before the Champions League final, which kicks-off today at 8 PM BST, the president has been speaking to UEFA. Calciomercato have published statements attributed to Levy, where he has reciprocated a favour and talked about Pochetttino.
“I would like him to become Tottenham’s Alex Ferguson. Mauricio wants the right recognition of his job, being the number one. For me it’s fine, I want him to be the number one too.”

Levy’s Praise deserved after Pochettino takes Spurs to first Champions League final
Tottenham had never made it to the final of the Champions League but Pochettino has changed the perception of Spurs in the last few years.
The success he has achieved at Spurs with an underfunded team has led to him being in huge demand. Real Madrid apparently approached Pochettino after Zidane first left. But the Spurs boss wanted to see out his efforts in London, and rejected the Merengues.
The match is only a few hours away and whatever happens now, Pochettino will always be loved by fans at White Hart Lane. Whether he can become the next Sir Alex Ferguson is another matter. Pochettino has been at Spurs since 2014, but hasn’t won a single trophy despite playing in a couple of finals with this squad. Let’s hope things change for the better.
