Manchester United are ready to spend £50 million on Bournemouth’s David Brooks from the Romelu Lukaku sale money, according to the reports.
Romelu Lukaku’s time at Manchester United is set to be over after he agreed on personal terms with Serie A side Inter Milan.
The Belgian earned a cool £250,000-a-week at Manchester United and has agreed terms on a £180,000-a-week contract at Inter Milan, the same he would have earned at the Old Trafford next season due to every player’s wages slashed for failing to qualify for the Champions League.
The transfer is said to be pretty much agreed with an agreement on a transfer fee the only stumbling block between the clubs.
Meanwhile, David Brooks is a self-proclaimed Manchester United fan who had an impressive season at Bournemouth last term.
The 21-year-old made 30 appearances in the Premier League last season where he scored 7 goals and assisted further 5.
Ole Gunnar Solskajer is said to be a big fan of the youngster who would love an opportunity to play at the Old Trafford next season.
Manchester United have shifted their transfer priority in the recent weeks as they hunt for the young and homegrown players instead of the big names.
Daniel James ticked all the above boxes and so does David Brooks.
However, it would be interesting to see whether Manchester United are ready to meet Bournemouth’s £50 million of the player.
