Manchester United Star David De Gea is set to leave the Old Trafford after recent developments according to the latest reports.
The Spaniard has just a year left on his contract and could walk out on a free transfer if he doesn’t signs a contract extension in the next few months.
Manchester United have already offered a new contract to the 28-year-old which has subsequently been rejected by the Goalkeeper.
Paris Saint-Germain have been keeping a tab on De Gea and are ready to offer him the money he wants in order to bring him to Paris, just like they did with Ander Herrera.
It has been claimed that De Gea was leaning towards signing a contract extension with the Red Devils in the December last year.
The 28-year-old reportedly told his team-mates that he’s ready to extend his stay at Manchester United only if the board was ready to offer him the money he desired.
The Spaniard is reportedly demanding a contract worth £350,000/week citing the example of Alexis Sanchez who is earning £500,000/week, thanks to all the bonuses and add-ons in his contracts.
However, Ed Woodward has so far refused to give him what he wants and the Manchester United executive vice-chairman doesn’t want to spend more than £250,000/week on the Goalkeeper.
Paris Saint-Germain, meanwhile, could be tempted to wait for another 6 months before signing David De Gea on a pre-contract in January and then snapping him up on a free at the end of the next season.
Do you think we should offer David De Gea whatever he wants or would you rather sell him in this transfer window, thus, avoiding another free transfer next season?
