Manchester United have reportedly decided to send the young Goalkeeper Dean Henderson out on loan for another season at Sheffield United.

Dean Henderson had a fabulous time at Sheffield United last season where he helped the Championship side climb up the Premier League ladder by helping with 22 clean sheets in the league.

However, with David de Gea’s contract issue still dragging on, there were whispers that the United board might decide to cash on the Spaniard, thus opening the door for Dean Henderson into the first team.

But, as it turns out, Man United are all set to take a gamble on David de Gea and are ready to let him run down his contract in a hope that he might be convinced over signing a new deal at some point next season.

And now, if the latest reports are to be believed, it has been decided by the top hierarchy that it would be best for Dean to experience a season in the Premier League with Sheffield United where he would start every game, instead of wasting his time on the bench at the Old Trafford.

As per Sheffield United’s manager Chris Wilder:

“He wants his United contract sorted out first of all but, in terms of putting another temporary deal in place, I think we’re in a good place with that one.

“United are pleased with what happened when he came here, with the way his game developed and the way he progressed over the course of the year.

“He’s rated very highly at Old Trafford and you can understand why. Dean was outstanding for us last season and being able to bring him back again for another year would be brilliant.”

So, it looks like the Manchester United fans won’t be watching Dean Henderson in a Red shirt for at least another season.

Hopefully, the 22-year-old has a solid year at Sheffield United and comes out an even better goalkeeper next season.
