Anthony Martial could become one of the best Strikers in the world if Manchester United can use him the right way, as per the ex-Red Devil, Dimitar Berbatov.
The Frenchman, who cost Manchester United £58m in the summer of 2015 from Monaco, has been inconsistent at best during his time at the Old Trafford, showing a few world-class skills at some moments while being completely non-existent in other important moments.
The 23-year-old had a real difficult time under Jose Mourinho at the start of the last season and was even set to leave the club before the arrival of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer persuaded him to sign a new long term contract.
The pacy winger did manage to score 10 goals and provided a couple of assists in a topsy-turvy last season where the gaffer challenged him to find more consistency in his performances.
While a lot of fans hope that Martial can take the league by storm this season, as per Dimitar Berbatov, the forward has a high ceiling and could even turn out to be one of the best in the world:
“I am slightly biased, but I think Martial can become one of the best, best strikers.
“It depends on whether he has the attitude, the fighting spirit, but he is so good I think he can become one of the best.
“He has often played two to three games then out for two to three games.
“Two to three games on the bench then two to three games back in the team.
“And then United fans ask, why isn’t he consistent?
“It depends on him, himself, but Martial has to stay at United. He can be a really great player for them.”
There’s no doubt that Martial has got plenty of talent. That’s one of the reasons we spent £58m on him in 2015.
However, at 23 years of age, Anthony Martial should be looking to find some consistency in his game if he wants to become one of the best in the world, as Berbatov mentioned above. And that starts next week!
