Eden Hazard may be on his way to Real Madrid after Chelsea reportedly agreed to sell the star for a club record fee of £115million.
The Belgium international had been linked with a move to Spanish giants in recent months after making it clear that he wanted the move.
Meanwhile, the Blues are at the risk of losing him with only a year left on his contract.
According to reports in the Sun, Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has stepped in and ordered to sell Hazard now rather than lose him for nothing.
Chelsea will be receiving £115m for the winger who will make his last appearance for the club in tonight’s Europa League final against Arsenal in Baku.
Hazard will be earning around £400,000-a-week at the Bernabeu, which tops the £300,000-a-week offer he had received from Chelsea.
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is keen to sign Hazard and suggested the deal will be announced soon.
“We have been trying to make Hazard a Real Madrid player for several years,” said Perez.
“I have a dream that Hazard will arrive this year. Let’s make a good team this year.
“I am very interested in him coming to Real Madrid, and I am very hopeful that he will come this year. He’s one of the great footballers.
Hazard since joining Chelsea in 2012 has won two Premier League trophies, FA Cup, and the Europa League.
The forward has scored 19 goals in 51 games for Chelsea this season and has provided 16 assists.
Hazard will be hoping to add Europa League trophy to the tally which may be his final game for the Blues against Arsenal.
