Arsenal boss Unai Emery had a chat with all the players to discuss the woes in their form and said they should overcome their ‘poor performance’ before the fixture against Watford this Monday.
The Gunners need to win against the Watford if they see themselves in the top four race.
Emery, whose Sevilla side did not win a single away league game during his final year in Spain in 2016, said: “We were speaking in the dressing room how we can fix our problem.
“We are consistent this season, but if we need to improve something, it’s our away form. If we win, we can continue in fourth. We must show everybody we can finish in this position.
“We spoke a lot about that and what we need to improve. We need sometimes patience to improve this spirit. We can be critical of ourselves for our away performances.
“With consistency in our mentality we can build up better performances away. I’m sure we’re going to find it.”
Recent loss at the Everton has dealt Arsenal’s contention for the top four flight, and a winless streak in four games in all the competitions for which they have travelled for, and the only win came in one of the last nine games against a relegated Huddersfield.
