Unai Emery has shown interest in Real Madrid midfielder Exequiel Palacios, and the Argentine has revealed that he is immensely proud to be linked with a club like Gunners.
The 20-year-old attacking midfielder is on Gunners radar, alongside Boca Juniors duo Nahitan Nandez and Emanuel Reynoso.
Palacios maybe the most talented among the three, having appeared two times for the Argentine national team and with his ability to create wonderful chances in the midfield.
And Arsenal fans would be very much happy as Palacios has expressed his interest to play for the North London outfit.
“I’m proud clubs like Real Madrid and Arsenal are interested in me,” he said.
The Argentine played a key role in defeating rivals Boca Juniors in the finals of Copa Libertadores and is being considered as a top talent in Argentine football.
Signing Palacios could turn to be a costly deal for Emery as it would churn out his half of budget after missing out a Champions League spot for a third straight time.
In other Arsenal news, the reports suggest that Gunners goalkeeper David Ospina is most likely to make a permanent move to Napoli this summer.
30-year-old Ospina, despite falling short of playing time for Gunners would still like to make a move to the Serie A outfit.
With Napoli, as of now, not obliged to pay the sum of €3.5 million as per the clause, Carlo Ancelotti is perhaps seeking a cheaper deal for the Colombian international.
With the Copa America to start soon, Napoli wants to sign the deal with the Columbian shot-stopper as soon as possible.
Ospina has been part of the Arsenal squad since 2014 but has never threatened to become the club’s number goalkeeper.
He has shown quality performance on many occasions for the Gunners but arguably hasn’t demonstrated the audacity to be the main man.
