Garry Neville says that Liverpool’s chances are less of winning the Premier League title after Newcastle made a come and ended the match with the score of 3-2.
The Newcastle fans were very much excited at the St James’s Park when their team came from behind to level at a score of 2-2 against Liverpool on Saturday night.
Neville says, within five minutes to go, Liverpool’s Premier League hopes were almost over as they couldn’t handle the red-hot atmosphere at the stadium.
“I sat there with Graeme Souness in the studio, and it always felt awkward,” Neville explained.
“There were 50,000 Geordies, and it was a Saturday night, they’d been on the lash all day.”
After losing the league fixture to Newcastle Liverpool will hope to make a comeback against Barcelona in the second leg of Champions League.
