The two sides gear up for the first all English final in over a decade as they look to end the season with a trophy.
Liverpool put up another ‘memorable European night’ at the Anfield defeating Barcelona by 4 goals to nill overcoming overwhelming odds after a 3-0 drubbing at the hands of the La-Liga champions at Camp Nou.
Spurs had a thrilling semifinal of their own, scoring with the last kick of the game to down Ajax 3-2 in the away leg to books their spots for the finale on the away goals rule.
Jurgen Klopp’s side have also had a memorable league campaign racking up their highest ever tally of 97 points bettered only by one point by eventual champions Manchester City.
And Former Spurs star Gary Lineker thinks that the Reds will be too hot to handle for his former side.
“Overall, team against team, (Liverpool) have got the better players.” He told daily Starnu
“They finished 20-odd points ahead of Tottenham this season so it’s hard to make a case where Tottenham are favourites.
“But, as we know in football, the best teams don’t always win, which is one of the things that makes it so special.” Lineker further went on to add.
Liverpool will be looking for their sixth ever Champions League triumph and for the first major trophy under Jurgen Klopp since his appointment back in 2015.
This will be Tottenham’s first ever shot at Champions League success as the club look for their first ever European Silverware since winning the UEFA Cup back in 1971-72.
The Final will be played at Atletico’s Wanda Metropolitano stadium in Madrid on June the 1st.
