Glen Johnson claims: ‘Harry Maguire will sign for Man Utd’

Harry Maguire will join Man Utd this summer, according to the former Liverpool, Chelsea, and England right-back, Glen Johnson.

The last few days in the transfer window for Man Utd have been dominated by the Paulo Dybala-Romelu Lukaku swap, which also seems to be happening if the latest reports are to be believed.

However, signing Dybala wouldn’t solve our center-back issues and that’s why we have continued to be linked with the Leicester City center Back who was left out of the Foxes squad for the friendly against Atlanta amidst the Man Utd rumors.

While Leicester still aren’t buzzing on their valuation of the 26-year-old, according to Glen Johnson, the deal will definitely happen in the next few days:

“If United have come calling again, they know Maguire wants to go,” Johnson said on talkSPORT.

“As long as Maguire gets that message to Leicester then I’m sure the deal will happen.

“And to be honest, if I’m Leicester I’d take £80m anyway.

“I think it’s a great deal for everyone really, all three parties.

“I can’t see why it won’t happen.”

There are 6 days left in the summer transfer window and it looks like this deal could drag on to the transfer deadline day, which means we will probably end up overpaying for Maguire (which is an ironic thing to say).

Meanwhile, Glen Johnson has hailed Harry Maguire claiming that the 26-year-old was always going to be a success, thanks to his size and maturity:

“When he first broke onto the scene, due to his size and certain bits in his game, he’d look a bit clumsy,” Johnson added.

“But I think he’s matured, he’s certainly learned the game over the last few years.

“He’s come on really well.”

Hopefully, Maguire to Man Utd deal gets done soon. We can probably do with a top center back right now!
