Two English teams came out the other side of a 3-0 deficit victorious. While Liverpool beat the mighty Barcelona team, so well that the Spaniards were embarrased. Tottenham had almost bottled it but made it through on a hat-trick from Lucas Moura.
A lot is being said and written about the final in Madrid on June 1. Between now and the final, a lot of things can happen. For example, important players could go injured or return from injury (Harry Kane).
Graeme Souness has a prediction before any such unexpected happening derails anyone’s expectations. He was speaking to Virgin media when he was asked about his favourites for the Champions League final.
This is what the Liverpool legend had to say:

To paraphrase his words, the former Red thinks that Klopp will be able to finally get over the line in a final. It has been almost six finals that Klopp has lost and will finally hope to undo that voodoo after last season’s final defeat to Real Madrid.
“The last two games that have been Anfield, when Spurs have gone there, this season and last season, Spurs were unlucky on both occasions. But Liverpool will win it – they have better players, simple as.”
– Graeme Souness via the tweet above
Let’s hope that Liverpool will not have any injuries between now and the final on June 1. Then we can help Spurs prove that they’ll bottle up anything they’re about to win.
